Blessings Still Flowing in Canaan
The Blessings of Canaan Church, Inc., founded in 1967, is pleased to announce that the charitable and spiritual functions of the organization will continue.
The founder and President of B.o.C., Ernest F. Houdeshell Sr., died on July 30, 2002, at the age of 80. Houde, as he was affectionately known, directed family disaster aid, marriage counseling, provided shelter for the homeless and jobs for prisoners eligible for work release.
Meetings with past officers and a surviving co-founder resulted in a restructuring of the Board of Trustees. This placed the responsibility of steward-ship with the ‘next generation’. The center of operations is Saints’ Grove, 1.5 miles north of Forest Hill on Tyson Road.
The Annual Campmeeting will begin July 21st and continue to July 30th at 7:00 nightly. Visiting pastors, evangelists, and guest speakers who fellowshipped with Houde in the past will minister. Music will be provided by an assortment of local and family talent as well as guest singers.
